Fuelr (fuelr.co.uk) is a UK fuel price comparison service that helps drivers find the cheapest petrol and diesel stations near them. Fuel price data is sourced from the official UK Government Fuel Finder dataset and is updated daily.

2. Data We Collect

Information you provide

  • Price alerts: If you sign up for fuel price alerts, we collect your email address to send you notifications. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in each email.

Information collected automatically

  • Location data: When you search for fuel prices near you, your browser may share your approximate location (latitude/longitude). This is used solely to show nearby stations and is not stored on our servers.
  • Usage data: We may collect anonymised information about how you use the site (pages visited, search queries) to improve our service.

6. Third-Party Services

  • UK Government Fuel Finder API: Source of all fuel price data. No personal data is shared with this service.
  • Resend: Email delivery service used for price alert emails. Your email address is processed by Resend to deliver alerts you have requested. See Resend's Privacy Policy.
  • Vercel: Hosting and infrastructure provider. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.

7. Your Rights (UK GDPR)

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data ('right to be forgotten')
  • Object to processing of your data
  • Data portability
  • Withdraw consent at any time (e.g., unsubscribe from alerts)

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@fuelr.co.uk. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

8. Data Retention

Price alert email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe. We do not store location data beyond the duration of a single search request.

9. Children's Privacy

Fuelr is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
